1Supertree Grove & OCBC Skyway, Gardens by the Bay Sight
Walk the 22m Skyway between the Supertrees before midday heat and crowds build, the must-see anchor of the trip.
Singapore calls itself the Garden City and then proves it: this plan opens with the Supertree Grove's skyway and the misted mountain of the Cloud Forest, gives day 2 to the UNESCO-listed Botanic Gardens and a reclaimed railway line now running wild through the island's green spine, and closes along the Southern Ridges, where Henderson Waves' timber deck crosses the forest canopy at golden hour. In between: hawker satay in the gardens themselves, orchids by the thousand, and a nightly light show among the trees.
Walk the 22m Skyway between the Supertrees before midday heat and crowds build, the must-see anchor of the trip.
Hawker-style satay and local grills right in the gardens, the easy, no-fuss lunch stop between anchors.
A 35m indoor waterfall inside a misted mountain of ferns, the coolest, most atmospheric hour of the day.
Stroll the promenade as the light turns gold, ending at the Merlion with the Marina Bay Sands skyline behind it.
Sit-down chilli crab dinner, Singapore's signature dish, at a long-running local institution on the river.
Free nightly light-and-sound show on the Supertrees, 19:45 & 20:45, catch the later slot after dinner.
Enter via Tanglin Gate early for quiet paths through the UNESCO World Heritage rainforest remnant and lake.
3,000+ orchid species inside the Botanic Gardens, including hybrids named for visiting dignitaries, best in morning light.
Hawker lunch and wet market under one roof, order the chwee kueh, a local favourite few tourists find.
Wander the Art Deco walk-up flats and indie bookshops of Singapore's first public housing estate, genuine local life.
A former railway line reclaimed as a wild green trail, walk the Alexandra Arch stretch as the afternoon light softens.
Sit-down North Indian curry dinner, a local favourite for its fish head curry and fresh naan.
Walk the undulating timber bridge, Asia's highest pedestrian bridge, then continue along the treetop-level ridge trail.
A quieter forested continuation of the ridges with WWII history markers, a gentle wind-down from the bridge.
Classic hawker lunch, try the Tian Tian chicken rice queue, a Singapore rite of passage.
Explore the lanes around Sultan Mosque and Arab Street. Haji Lane's murals and shophouse boutiques close out the trip.
Singapore's largest mosque, golden dome catching the late afternoon light, a quiet, respectful close to the day.
Skewers off the grill with the Supertrees in view; the least ceremonious great lunch in Singapore.
Steamed rice cakes with preserved radish, the Tiong Bahru breakfast order that marks you as someone who knows.
The national dish, best attacked in a bib after a day outdoors.
South Indian fire in a shared pot; the dish worth crossing the island for, which is exactly day 2's choice.
No. Every trailhead on this plan sits near an MRT station or a short taxi hop, and the walks themselves are the transport: the Rail Corridor and Southern Ridges are linear routes you ride to one end of and walk out of.
The Cloud Forest sells timed tickets; book the morning slot when you fix your dates. The outdoor Supertree Grove, the light show, the Botanic Gardens and every trail here are free and unticketed. Jumbo Seafood is the one dinner worth reserving.
Gentle. The Southern Ridges is the longest at around five kilometers of boardwalk and canopy bridge, shaded much of the way; the Rail Corridor is flat and soft underfoot. Bring water and sun cover, not hiking boots.
Enough for the signature gardens and both great walking corridors. What it leaves for a longer trip is the wilder edge: the wetland reserves and the offshore island time that day 4 and 5 below are for.
Cleanly. The first-visit Singapore plan does the city's icons; this page overlaps only at the Supertrees, and even there it trades the observation decks for the Skyway and the second show.
Sungei Buloh's mangrove boardwalks are Singapore's wildest hour: mudskippers, monitor lizards and, in season, migratory shorebirds by the thousand. Go at opening and be out before the heat.
Ten minutes by boat to the island Singapore used to be: kampong houses, jungle tracks and the Chek Jawa wetlands, best explored by rented bicycle.
If a fourth morning opens up, the TreeTop Walk's suspension bridge over the reservoir forest completes the canopy trilogy this plan begins. Ask Robin to slot it where your energy allows.
